If you crave blends of red Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc or Merlot grapes, then you will want wines from the Bordeaux region of France. Since it is along the Atlantic coast, this region has a long history of producing red wine for export. Their mix of medium-body red grapes burst with flavor, making some of the best red wine in the world. UKV PLC offers some of the hottest Bordeaux wines within their portfolio.
The Burgundy has been producing both high quality red and white grapes for centuries. Specifically, the region has a reputation for exporting some of the finest white wines in the world. A bottle of Côte de Beaune Chardonnay will typically be the most expensive, and this wine may be found with UKV PLC.
Touching both a large major river and the Atlantic Ocean, the Loire region has the most amount of diversity in wine. Muscadet based wines are mostly made from areas near the ocean. Sauvignon blanc and Chenin blanc are produced from regions near the grand river. Several varieties of Loire wine may be found with UKV PLC.
The UKV PLC recommends Champagne from the actual northeastern region of France. There are varieties that are similar, but any wine produced outside of the region is considered to be crémant. The quality of the grapes may very well stem from the fact that it is produced in such a high altitude.
